Clayton First semester 2008 (Day) SynopsisThis unit provides an introduction to aspects of management relevant to the needs of the professional mechatronics engineer. Students will be introduced to a range of topics including the role of a manager, organizations, financial management, marketing and planning, legal issues and professional ethics. ObjectivesThe aim of this unit is to provide a broad introduction to aspects of management relevant to a professional mechatronics engineer. Theoretical concepts will be introduced followed by practical applications and skill development. Students will develop an understanding of the nature of the business environment and learn basic skills in several key areas of management. Assessment
