Synopsis
An investigation of the elements that comprise a performance.
- An overview of the technical departments involved in the theatre making process.
- Selected scenes from contemporary playtexts or libretti, investigating a methodology of rehearsal, including exercises on action and character. The class will present showings of their scene work.
Assessment
Seminar/workshop participation: 30%
Written document (1000 words): 30%
Contribution to performance projects: 40%
