Gippsland Second semester 2008 (Off-campus) SynopsisThis unit identifies the World Health Organisations role in advocating and supporting the global health agenda of health for all. Primary health care as a philosophy and a model of health service provision are described. Health education and promotion as strategies for achieving health for all are examined. Nurses are encourages to develop health education and health promotion skills that can be utilised in our contexts of practice to promote population wellbeing. Objectives
