Caulfield First semester 2008 (Day) SynopsisThe broad aim of this unit is to develop an understanding of variables which influence individual job performance. Specifically, the first aim is to examine theoretical models and empirical evidence on job design, work performance, motivation, job satisfaction, organisational commitment and stress and well-being. The second aim, is to develop an understanding of training programs, specifically, training needs analysis, devising and delivering a training program and evaluating training processes and outcomes. The third and final aim is to introduce students to human factors. Objectives

AssessmentThere will be two major assessments and a weekly reflection task. The purpose of the assessment tasks are to evaluate the participant's ability to understand and apply major I/O concepts, theories and research to real organisational events. Written assignment 1 (40%), Written Assignment 2 (50%) Reflective piece (10%). |
