MMR4023 - Professional practice 24 points, SCA Band 2, 0.0833333 EFTSLPostgraduate Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health SciencesLeader: Ms Caroline WrightOfferedClayton First semester 2008 (Off-campus) SynopsisThis unit comprises a systematic introduction to cross sectional imaging anatomy and its relevance to radiation therapy. It develops further student knowledge and understanding of the gross pathology of cancer and their representation on medical images, and provides an insight into the surgical management of cancer and the principles of radiation oncology. Finally the unit also addresses legal principles relevant to the medical context within which the practice of radiation therapy is situated. Objectives
