The unit will elaborate on the extension of logistics management across organisational boundaries. How organisations are using logistics and supply chain management as a competitive tool will also be covered. Students will be able to gain appreciation through the critical study of contemporary research publications in the area. The practice of leading edge organisations will also be studied. Students will have the opportunity to apply new concepts in case studies and in their own organisations through assignment work. Objectives
