MID3110 - Professional Midwifery practice6 points, SCA Band 0, 0.125 EFTSLUndergraduate Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health SciencesLeader: Dr Lisa McKennaOfferedNot offered in 2008 SynopsisThis unit builds upon previous midwifery knowledge and provides opportunity for students to explore midwifery philosophy at a higher level and to articulate a personal philosophy of midwifery. Additionally, this unit provides an opportunity for students to gain insight into models of care, leadership in and transitions in the midwifery profession. This unit also provides the opportunity for students to explore contemporary midwifery practice matters, the evaluation of learning in practice and the governance of midwifery practice. Objectives
