City (Melbourne) First semester (extended) 2008 (Online) SynopsisThis subject will cover the range of legal services required for a practitioner acting for clients involved in small and large businesses, such as formation and regulation of business enterprises, directors' duties and taxation of businesses. It will require the development of the skills such as legal research and analysis, awareness and use of learning strategies, practice management, oral communication and interpersonal relationships and mediation. It will focus on the values of resolution of ethical conflicts and recognition of personal values ObjectivesThe primary objective is that those who have successfully completed the Diploma course, of which this subject is a part, will have the broad knowledge, skills and ethical awareness to undertake legal practice. Students who have successfully completed this subject will have acquired the following competencies:
