This unit introduces regulatory scholars to the arena of the professions. The unit covers a range of professional regulation frameworks and models and introduces regulatory methodologies through case studies, readings, critical analyses and discussions on current professional regulation issues. In each instance, both the professional regulation model and the effectiveness of these contributions made to understanding effectiveness are investigated. A range of professional regulation case studies are undertaken. Objectives
