Clayton First semester 2008 (Day) SynopsisThe focus of the unit is the major steps in litigation. Using the Rules of the Supreme Court of Victoria, the chronology of a civil proceeding from the decision to sue until the matter is ready for trial is examined. AssessmentDrafting Unit:25% and Examination (3 hours plus 30 minutes reading and noting time): 75% OR Optional case-based assessment exercise: 25% and Drafting Unit: 25% and Examination (2 hours plus 30 minutes reading and noting time): 50% Contact hoursThree hours of lectures per week and 6 hours of drafting tutorials (optional).
