HED5004 - Negotiated project

Synopsis

This unit requires participants to design and undertake a project that directly builds on the content of the previous three units in the course. Participants choose any area of teaching and learning relating to their own teaching practice in higher education, then plan, negotiate and conduct a project to investigate and improve their own teaching practice. The project is conducted within the HED5004 semester.

Objectives

The negotiated project is designed to bring about an increased awareness in teaching practice, improve student learning, integrate learning from the GCHE course and broaden experience with online learning systems available at Monash University.

Assessment

There are four assessment tasks: an initial project outline, a negotiated project management plan, a final project report and a short review of another unit participant's project.

Equivalent of 2 hrs per week (face-to-face and on-line)
