Clayton First semester 2008 (Day) SynopsisThis unit will interpret the concept of sustainability in the context of cities and urban development. ObjectivesThis unit explores the economic, social and environmental dimensions of urban sustainability through issues such as housing, transport, urban development, migration, water and energy consumption, waste disposal, and critically examine their outcomes in terms of social justice, economic and cultural polarization, metropolitan governance, and community and institutional sustainability.
