FTM4110 - New Research Methods in Film and Television Studies12 points, SCA Band 1, 0.250 EFTSLPostgraduate Faculty of ArtsLeader: Deane WilliamsOfferedNot offered in 2008 SynopsisThe unit will provide a series of approaches to weekly audio-visual texts to subsequently enable students to focus on particular film and television studies research topics with a view to enabling the formation of extended research based projects. This topic-based unit will focus on both practical (including archival, library and web-based methods) as well as theoretical research methods (historical, realist, experimental, structuralist, post-structural, postcolonial).
