Clayton Second semester 2008 (Day) SynopsisThis unit builds on coursework undertaken in Visual Art Education 1, and is a specialist education unit in the Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary). It offers a specific focus on methods of curriculum evaluation in visual arts, for those seeking to specialize as secondary Visual Arts teachers. In addition, it explores a range of issues with respect to curriculum theory and design that are specific to aesthetic education, including a discussion of the inter-disciplinary relationships between artists and art teachers, and their impact for the ways in which the curriculum operates, and for concepts of the art student.
