This unit builds on the knowledge, skills and behaviours learned in the first semester Business Education unit and explores relevant issues, pedagogy and professional requirements essential for teachers of Economics in the twenty-first century classroom. Pre-service teachers will explore the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) Economics Study Design as an exemplar of course requirements associated with the teaching and learning of Economics at the post compulsory level.
Upon successful completion of this unit, students should be able to;

This unit is graded Pass Grade Only (PGO); Assessment task 1: Assessment folio (1,000 words; 25%) Assessment task 2: Learning and Teaching Plan (unit of work) including reflection (3,000 words; 75%); Hurdle requirement: Satisfactory completion of teaching practice.
