Clayton Second semester 2008 (Day) SynopsisThis unit focuses on the centrality of language and communication to all teaching and learning. It involves a critical examination of relationships and modes of communication within classrooms and other learning environments. Unit learning and assessment tasks will require students to reflect on and analyse their broader beliefs about teaching and learning, and the role of language and communication, and to extend their thinking about these aspects beyond school settings to learning within the community. This unit will incorporate a 5 day professional placement in a non-school, community setting. Objectives
