The unit will use a mixture of economic theory, economic history and the study of institutions to explore the business issues faced by the sport industry. Throughout the unit, case studies of several sports, notably Major League Baseball, professional boxing, the English Premier League (soccer), and the Australian Football League, will be used to explore these issues in depth.
