The role of money in influencing economic activities. Implementation and operation of monetary policy, the relationship of exchange rates to monetary policy, the major factors determining movements in interest rates and exchange rates in both the intermediate and long terms, and important issues in monetary theory (the study of the effect of money on the economy) will be examined.
