Synopsis

Students will undertake a large project and work in groups on a software project for a client. The client may be internal to Monash or from the industry or research organisation. In general, projects involve all aspects of the system development lifecycle. Groups are responsible for their own project management, with guidance from a supervisor. Some projects will warrant students working in pairs or individually.

Assessment

Mandatory attendance and satisfactory completion of all the requirements: presentations, walk throughs, interviews and a final report.

Contact hours

The unit is offered for students in their 4th year. For students who entered the program in Feb (sem 1 intake), the unit is offered as a 6 point per semester for 2 semesters. 290 hours of supervised work (which includes meetings with supervisor for a minimum of 12 hours)

Prerequisites

Completion of CSE3302 and BUS2176
