Review of IT System Components includes network structures; technology (sockets, cables, etc.); protocols (TCP/IP, ATM, etc.); and network operating systems. The unit includes network system management, methods of network administration using SNMP and RMON, network fault diagnosis and recovery, network performance and tuning, administration of network services, network security and administration, analytical system administration, network simulation, network documentation, and the future of administration.
