Object oriented scripting languages for mobile and conventional web pages. Scripting on client side. Applications for scripting. Scripting on the server side (C# in .NET). Event-driven programming and postback. Manipulating data sources. Web services. Scripting techniques for mobile devices. Mark up languages in web and mobile environments. Formatting information through CSS.

Assessment

Assignments will be worth 60% of the final mark Examination will be worth 40% of the final mark In order to pass a unit, a student must gain all of the following: (1)at least 50% of the examination component (2) at least 40% of the assignment component: i.e. the assignments taken as a whole (3)at least 50% of the total marks for the unit

Prerequisites

Entry qualifications into any master's or honours program of the Faculty. Any unit in object-oriented programming.
