BIO2282 - Plant structure and function6 points, SCA Band 2, 0.125 EFTSLUndergraduate Faculty of ScienceLeader: Dr Patrick BakerOfferedClayton Second semester 2008 (Day) SynopsisThis unit deals with the structure and function of plants at different levels of organisation from the cellular to the whole plant. Topics include general plant structure and anatomy, and structural adaptations of plants to different environments. Aspects of plant function and physiology include nutrient and water uptake and transport, gas exchange and assimilation processes and how plant function, plant growth and plant form are modified by interactions with the environment. The link between structure and function of plants is stressed throughout this unit. Assessment
