Introduction - Victorian College of PharmacyFor more than 125 years, the Victorian College of Pharmacy has played a major role in pharmacy education, pharmaceutical sciences research and pharmacy practice research. It is one of Australia's leading schools of pharmacy, offering professional qualifications and further education for the pharmacy profession, undergraduate programs in pharmaceutical science and research higher degrees. The Victorian College of Pharmacy is located at Monash's Parkville campus, in close proximity to the CBD and other leading research organisations, residential colleges and teaching hospitals in the `Parkville strip'. It shares its premises with the Pharmacy Board of Victoria and the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (Victorian Branch) Ltd. The Parkville campus comprises the library, computer laboratories, state of the art laboratory facilities, lecture theatres, seminar rooms, and world class, purpose built research facilities. There are four departments within the Victorian College of Pharmacy: Pharmaceutics, Pharmacy Practice, Medicinal Chemistry, and Pharmaceutical Biology. All departments are headed by internationally recognised research professors. Administration is managed through the Office of the Dean. Selection and course inquiries should be directed to the faculty office. Credit for prior studiesSuccessful applicants who have completed or partially completed other undergraduate study will have their prior results assessed on an individual basis for granting of credit towards courses offered by the College. Credit for specified units in the faculty's courses will be determined in consultation with members of academic staff after due consideration of the applicant's previous study. Exhibitions and awardsTop-ranking students will be recognised at the annual exhibitions and awards ceremony.
