Introduction to the faculty - Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health SciencesThe Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences is a major and highly diverse faculty, and one of the largest in Australia. It delivers a wide range of postgraduate programs in areas such as medicine, biomedical science, nursing, psychology, medical imaging and radiation sciences, paramedic and ambulance studies and social work. Our postgraduate programs include both research and coursework programs which are offered on-campus, off-campus or multi-mode (a combination of the two) to cater for the busy health professional. The faculty offers postgraduate courses from the Clayton, Gippsland, Caulfield, and Peninsula campuses and the university's Sunway campus in Malaysia. The diversity of research disciplines in the faculty is reflected in its school structure. Other education and research linksThe faculty has links with four metropolitan Health Services (Bayside, Eastern, Southern and Peninsula), the state-wide Ambulance Services (Metropolitan and Rural) and major rural health services in Gippsland, Bendigo and Mildura. It also has relationships with professional associations and individual practitioners in general and specialist medical practice throughout Victoria. |
