It provides high-level training in the fields of international business, diplomacy, economics, law and contemporary politics. The course is aimed at individuals who presently work, or who hope to work, in both the public and private sectors and who wish to increase their understanding of the international environment in which they operate. It is designed for individuals working in the government sector engaged in the implementation and provision of policy advice in the areas of foreign affairs, trade and business-related issues. In the private domain, the course is designed for individuals who are operating, or looking to work, in an international capacity in both the corporate or not-for-profit sector. Course objectivesThe learning goals associated with this course are to: acquire professional skills in the formulation and analysis of foreign and trade policy; develop critical and analytical skills appropriate to the field of international public policy; develop the capacity to evaluate key trends in foreign and trade policy; acquire a detailed understanding of the modern international system.
