Physical instability of solid dose forms. Polymorphism. Microbial instability. Formulation strategies. Classification and properties of disperse systems. Electrical stability of dispersions. Steric stabilisation and formulation principles. Aerosol systems. Homogenous aerosols. Heterogenous aerosols, emulsion aerosols. Foams.


Students will develop:


2.5 hour examination (100%)

Contact hours

24 hours of lectures, 9 three-hour practicals, 4 Web based learning modules of 3 hours duration and 4 one-hour tutorials.
