Synopsis

As for SPN2070

Objectives

By completion of the course, students are expected to have developed:

  1. Awareness of the norms and value systems that modulate Spanish and Hispanic American discourse(s).
  2. Knowledge of the predominant discursive features produced in business discourse in Spanish and English.
  3. Knowledge of pragmatic features used in business interactions.

Assessment

Two tests (equivalent 1350 words): 30%
Research essay (1350 words): 30%
Class presentations (500 words): 10%
Two assessed exercises (1350): 30%
