City First semester 2007 (Evening)
Historical perspectives on the book and publishing as agents of change. A critical introduction to the history of publishing and approaches to the study of publishing today in Australian and international contexts. The study of the various cycles in the history of the book analysed and assessed. Different approaches to the study of publishing and history of the book.
The objectives of this unit are:
Three short papers (1500 words each) (4500 total): 40%
+ Class contribution 10%
Major Essay 5000 words: 50%
