Synopsis

Students will produce an independent assessable research report according to the specifications of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association ready for publication, and learn the skills of producing a literature review relevant to the topic of the research.

Objectives

In undertaking this unit students will:

  1. Collect, analyse and interpret data in order to:
  2. Produce an independant assessable research report according to the specifications of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association which will be ready to submit for publication.
  3. Produce a literature review relevant to the topic of the research.

Assessment

Students are required to complete the research project that they began when enrolled in PSY4511. Students will be required to submit written progress reports to their supervisors at regular intervals throughout the semester. Students will write up the research in the form of a research report and a review of relevant literature.

Contact hours

Contact between student and supervisor will average an hour per week during semester.

Prerequisites

PSY4510: Research proposal and one semester of PSY4511 (in an earlier year than the year of the original enrolment).
