Synopsis

This unit builds on the basic concepts from the second year first semester units by continuing an on-going studio based theme leading to an enhanced understanding of the multimedia development process and the tools and techniques used to manage and control it. This second studio unit concentrates on the development of multimedia related database applications and CD/DVD authoring.

Assessment

Group Work (60%) - creation of database/authoring project as a member of a team
Individual Work (40%) - 2 assignments and a personal folio and interview

Contact hours

The student workload requirement is 12 hours per week for 13 weeks. Within each of these weeks, students will be expected to spend 4 hours in studio/lectures and 8 hours self-directed reading, preparation, and research.
