Synopsis

As for MGW2130 but assessment tasks require students to demonstrate a higher level of understanding of organisational change theory and practice.

Objectives

The learning objectives of this unit are to:

• discuss some of the major conceptual models underlying the OD change process;
• analyse the roles of the OD practitioner and his/her relationship with the client;
• identify the differences between radical and incremental approaches to change;
• utilise and understand the importance of diagnostic techniques;
• identify intervention techniques relevant to specific organisational problems.
