Synopsis

An approved semester-length unit at an Italian university. Placement arrangements will be made through the department, which has links with the universities of Florence and Perugia.

Objectives

Upon completion of this unit students should have:

1. Successfully undertaken a program of study offered by a host institution in Italy equivalent to a 6-point level language and culture unit at Monash University.
2. Achieved a good level of competency in the designated tasks.
3. Gained first-hand understanding of Italian culture in Italy.
4. Improved and consolidated Italian language skills in Italy.
5. Taken advantage of access to Italian library holdings, and the Italian-speaking academic environment to complement their language and/or culture programs.

Assessment

Students will be required to bring back all written work for assessment.
