Synopsis

Students are exposed to a range of introductory productivity applications. The work in the studio is intended to extend core computing skills and knowledge and to ensure that all students have the same fundamental skills set. Students are exposed to the role information has in society, to begin gaining an understanding of the social elements of information systems. The unit concentrates on applying and integrating fundamental knowledge from other first year first semester units in the BIS program. Students are encouraged to reflect on their work, with a view to better understanding interaction with others, group work and management of work.
