Synopsis

E-business continues to forge ahead and new technologies emerge to support its proliferation. This unit will extend the Object Oriented Programming approach and introduce student to the concepts and principles of component based software systems. Its scope includes the use of current technologies and standards to enable e-business applications. The unit has been structured to enable students

1. to understand the technologies underpinning e-business applications; and
2. to put them in practice when designing and implementing e-business systems.

Assessment

Examination: 60%
Assignments: 40%
Students must pass the examination in order to pass the unit.
