Issues in the evaluation of multimedia packages. How to use a multimedia authoring system. Practical and research work may be conducted from work or home.
Upon successful completion of this unit, students should be able to evaluate a range of multimedia products in an education or training context; be familiar with current multimedia standards and technologies and their applications in education; be able to create an educational package which uses elements of multimedia; have critically examined the use of multimedia packages within a learning environment.
Research paper (4000 words): 50%
Design Brief and Multimedia application (4000 word equivalent): 50%
