Recent developments in the use of computer technology in the classroom and pedagogical issues surrounding learning technologies. Students develop advanced skills in the use of word processing, desktop publishing, web publishing and Logo programming software.
Upon successful completion of this unit, students should have developed a further understanding and appreciation of the role of learning technologies in education; developed computer user skills necessary for the effective use of the computer as a teaching aid; developed an understanding of and experience in structuring; organising, and operating a variety of learning technologies across the curriculum including word processing, logo programming and web authoring; developed an understanding of the logistics of using learning technologies as part of the teaching process.
