Synopsis

This unit introduces study and research skills relevant to adult learning; creating an understanding of the contribution of research to community and workplace learning contexts; and developing an awareness of the value of ongoing professional development for community and workplace practitioners.

Objectives

Upon completion of this unit participants should be able to demonstrate a range of skills to support their own adult learning; understand the contribution of research to community and workplace settings as a way to enhance practice and professional development.

Assessment

Maintain a Reflective Journal: 40%
Design and deliver and 'presentation' to colleagues in a workplace setting: 60%. NOTE: This unit is assessed at Pass Grade Only (PGO)
