Synopsis

The study of high performance computer architectures, pipeline parallelism, datapath control, hazards including data and branch, branch prediction, memory organisation, caches, virtual memory, superscalar architectures and parallel computer architectures.

Assessment

Examination (3 hours): 70%
Laboratory and assignment work: 30%
