Synopsis

This unit is a practical unit in designing and constructing a small engineering project within the framework of a team. Students will be exposed to project planning techniques, lateral thinking and problem solving exercises as well as project management and documentation. Students will develop one of a number of projects on offer in a team based environment to test their knowledge and gain practical experience in managing a complex multi-person task.

Assessment

Design project: 70%
Examination (3 hours): 30%
