Synopsis
As for DTS4500(A)
Objectives
On completion of DTS4500, students should have:
- Acquired and demonstrated an appropriate level of expertise in the application of contemporary theoretical models in the study of theatre and performance processes to a specific research question.
- Gained knowledge and experience in the nature and practice of research methodology, and in the application of distinctive disciplinary models.
- Developed skills in the gathering, analysis and organization of research materials.
- Enhanced their capacities for clear, coherent and sophisticated argument in both oral and written form.
Assessment
Thesis (15,000-18,000 words): 100%
Contact hours
Private research and supervisory contact totalling an average of 24 hours each week
Co-requisites
DTS4000 or DTS4120 and one other Honours level unit, as approved by the Honours co-ordinator in consultation with the student's supervisor
