This unit introduces students to design for virtual architecture. It builds sequentially upon the skills and knowledge of 3D design by providing a focus upon CAD principles and their application. Students are introduced to the application of computing principles for space planning, facilities management, building performance analysis and operations research with an ability to link this design and drafting problems. Demonstrations and lectures are given on techniques of graphic communication and the capabilities of computer technical drawings for detailing the construction of interior architecture.
