Synopsis

Introduction to technical and design aspects of interactive media, focusing on the Internet and World Wide Web. Topics include, Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), CGI, JavaScript and Dynamic HTML programming; Principles of user-centered design including graphical user interfaces, information architecture, information design, navigation, page layout, typography, colour systems, sound and animation.

Assessment

Assignments: 30%; Examination (3 hours): 70%
