Synopsis

Building on and consolidating the work completed in previous Chinese studies, this unit will introduce students to a range of literary writings in Chinese extracted from significant works by modern authors.

Assessment

2 essay assignments (1500 words each): 20%
Written examinations (4 hours): 50%
Class participation: 10%
Seminar paper and oral presentation: 20%

Contact hours

3 hours (3 x 1 hour seminars) per week

A credit in CHI3080 or equivalent
