Clayton Second semester 2007 (Day)
This unit is designed to introduce students to the practical application of financial modelling using modern computer tools. It covers both financial theory and modelling and computer modelling methodology, DCF analysis, risk measurement, shareholder value analysis, spreadsheet modelling, transfer pricing, capital planning and financing, activity-based costing, accounts receivable and inventory, statement analysis and forecasting.
Assignment and class tests: 40%
Examination (2 hours): 60%
Students must pass the examination in order to pass the unit.
One x 2hour lecture/week, one x 1hour laboratory/week
Completion of 12 points of postgraduate level Faculty of Information Technology units
