This unit introduces students to the skills necessary to create a multimedia product, using commercially available software. The foci of the course will be the practical use of multimedia technologies and the development of business skills necessary. Topics to be covered include: digital and analogue audio and visual technologies; information technologies and formats in the multimedia spectrum; relevant business operations issues; relevant legal issues; other issues relating to successful management within the industry.
Assignments (Portfolio Project): 40%
Examination (2 hours): 60%
Students must pass the examination in order to pass the unit.
One 2-hour lecture and one 1-hour laboratory per week
