Synopsis

Under supervision, student are expected to undertake and report on an original research project that addresses a significant issue (or issues) in business law or taxation; this research proposal is likely to have substantial practical outcomes or implication; as well, it is hoped that students and supervisors will publish the work in an appropriate peer-refereed journal.

Objectives

The learning goals associated with this unit are to:

• formulate a research topic
• critically analyse relevant literature
• substantiate the conclusions reached
• present a research project of between 5,000 and 8,000 words.

Assessment

Research dissertation (5000 - 8000): 100%

Prerequisites

Enrolment in the Master of Business Law Program.
