The minor thesis requires a student to undertake original research on an approved topic in an approved field of taxation law and to present that research in the form of a thesis of between 20,000 to 25,000 words in length. The topic must be approved by the course director, who will appoint a supervisor. Students will be required to spend 24 hours per week in private research and writing of the minor thesis over two semesters. Enrolment in BTF5320 Minor thesis requires a student to submit a research proposal and have a supervisor appointed by the Course Director.
The learning goals associated with this unit are to:
Minor thesis (20,000 to 25,000 words in length): 100% (may only be undertaken as a 24 point unit)
24 hours per week in private research.
