Synopsis

As for BHS4000(A)

Objectives

Upon successful completion of this unit students will be able to demonstrate:

1. a proficiency in the planning, conduct and report of research in the behavioural and social science fields.
2. a confidence and professional skills in the conference-style presentation of their research findings.

3 a practical understanding of the ethical issues associated with research involving humans.

Assessment

Research thesis (15,000 - 18,000 words): 100%
Additional comment:
Participation in four research colloquia and ethics submission (hurdle requirements)
