Demands an expression of the synthesising which occurred throughout the studio work and so results in a 'conclusion' in the form of an argument for the cultural significance of the work.

On successful completion of this unit, students will:

  1. have competence in documenting their visual work with critical reflections on the process and outcome of their studio work;
  2. be able to sustain against critical scrutiny the relationship between the stated intentions of their proposal and the results of the studio work;
  3. be able to evaluate and explain the visual achievements, and justify the claim of the work making an artistic contribution of substantial significance;
  4. be able critically to review insights into the artistic process suggested by the visual research.
