Level one

  • SCI3090 Technology management for scientists (coordinator: Dr Alan Chaffee)
  • SCI3094 Technology management for scientists II (coordinator: Dr Alan Chaffee)
  • SCI3740 Science in action research project (coordinator: Dr Alan Neale)

The science units BTH1011 and BTH2012 are core units of the Bachelor of Biotechnology (with Honours) and can normally be taken only by students enrolled in that course.

The science units ENV1011, ENV1022, ENV2011, ENV2022, ENV3011, ENV3022 are core units for the Bachelor of Environmental Science course and can normally only be taken by students enrolled in that course.

Recommendations

Level one

Students in the Bachelor of Science course and related double-degree courses must satisfy the mathematics/statistics requirement at stage one by completing one of SCI1020 (Introduction to statistical reasoning), MTH1030 (Techniques for modelling), STA1010 (Statistical methods for science) or MAT1085 (Mathematics 1B).

Level two

Students in the Bachelor of Science course and related double-degree courses must satisfy the core requirements at level two by completing SCI2010 (The practice and application of science).

Level three

The units SCI3090, SCI3094 and SCI3740 are available as elective science units but do not form part of any science sequences.
